The Belorussian Ministry of Health is making changes to the order and duration of drug registration. The head of pharmaceutical inspection and organization of drug supply of the Ministry of Health in Belarus has announced that the period for first-time registration of medical products will now be five years.
The resolution states that after the initial registration period has expired, the product must acquire an additional update approval to its registration. Eventually, it will receive a permanent registration statement.
In addition, a new State Register was approved. The State Register can be found on the official website of the Healthcare Ministry and Republic Unitary Enterprise, the “Center of expertise and examination in Healthcare”. All the information is available for public use, which will assist manufacturers, suppliers, and consumers of healthcare products in gaining access to the most current information. Moreover, the data can be used to conduct customs, taxes and transportation control within the country.
These changes came into legal force on the 21st of May, 2015, along with the new law, “About Healthcare products.”
